Hide out in the West Indies for a little while
Bring your walking shoes or become an expert at doing nothing at all. Your voyage begins in San Juan, where Ponce De Leon never did discover the fountain of youth, but he did stumble upon this vibrant capital. From here, it’s on to a late-night stay in Basseterre, St. Kitts—a natural wonderland of lush rainforests, vibrant beds of coral, exotic fruit trees, and even a dormant volcano. Enjoy another late-night stay in St. Barts, renowned for its beautiful beaches, oceanfront cafes and restaurants, duty-free shops, and French flair. Next it’s a day at sea, where you’ll have plenty of time to relax by the pool, pamper yourself in Sanctum Spa, and take a Pilates or spin class. Then it’s on to our private island paradise of Labadee. Tucked away on the north coast of Hispaniola, this exclusive retreat is only available to Azamara passengers. With water sports, zip lining, and a Cruise Global, Connect Local℠ Haitian shore excursion, you can be as active as you like—or simply lie back in a hammock or cabana for some rejuvenating Vitamin D. After another luxurious day at sea to unwind, your voyage concludes in Miami. This doing nothing at all can wear you out.

San Juan

Ponce de Leon never did find the Fountain of Youth, but he did find stumble upon this lovely island, which had to be a close second. Just move to the rhythm of the ever-present salsa beat and you’ll be in the spirit in no time (secret – it’s all in the hips). Old Town San Juan is still partially enclosed by the original fortress walls dating back to the early 1500s. Attractively restored buildings with filigree cast iron balconies line its narrow cobbled streets, and cafés in shaded squares provide an ideal spot to linger. Outside the city the island offers an appealing array of golf courses, rainforests, and beaches galore.

Here you can find the Parc National de la Guadeloupe which is known for its hiking trails, rivers and waterfalls as well as the Soufrière Volcano at 59,055 feet. Surfing and sailing opportunities abound in this capital city of Guadeloupe.

St. Barts is a tropical paradise with a French flair. Red rooftops cluster on deep green hillsides, and front an irresistibly blue bay. Tranquil lagoons and dozens of creamy white sand beaches vie for your attention with chic boutiques and French restaurants, and the air is filled with mingling scents of frangipani and fresh baguettes. Explore the dramatic scenery in your own ATV, cruise the coast in a speedboat, or hike to a secluded cove for a swim.

Enjoy this Azamara private paradise for a day that can be relaxing, exciting, or a little of each. Labadee® lies on the north coast of Hispaniola, presided over by mountains green and lush with exotic vegetation, and surrounded by several sandy beaches. In the mood to explore? Survey the scenic coastline by kayak or on an exhilarating wave runner ride. Get a bird's-eye view as you parasail 400 feet above the action, or fly through the air on a thrilling mega zip line. Not quite your speed? How about lounging in a shady hammock while sipping a fruity Caribbean concoction?

Propelled by Latin rhythms, with a bold style all its own, Miami is a spicy melting pot of cultures. Immerse yourself in the colorful Art Deco district, vibrant nightlife, and beaches for sun-worshipers and water sport enthusiasts alike. Put some money on the horses at Hialeah Park, one of racings oldest and most prominent tracks, right next to a lake full of pink flamingos. Go adventuring in the Everglades, looking for ‘gators and manatees, canoeing through mangrove tunnels, or paddling a sea kayak through the “10,000 islands”. Flashy and full of life, it’s a great place to play.

Azamara Club Cruises

Azamara Club Cruises, owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises, combines elegance and class onboard with authentic cultural experiences designed to further your understanding and appreciation for the incredible destinations they visit. Nearly half of all Azamara port stops included an overnight or a late night stay, giving you plenty of time to discover and explore each destination. Local excursions allow you to really connect with the cultures of the extraordinary destinations they visit.

Azamara Club Cruises currently operate two ships – Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest – cruising to over 187 ports in 58 countries, including ones in the Mediterranean, Europe, Asia, South America and the Caribbean. Onboard you can spend the day relaxing by the pool, developing your art collection at an onboard auction, or attending one of the enrichment lectures. At night you can enjoy live music, dancing under the stars, or try your luck at the casino. And while you are onshore, you could take a literary pub-crawl in Dublin, experience Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, or snorkel amidst a host of striking fish in the West Indies. Azamara offers onshore excursions to suit every guest’s tastes.

Onboard Azamara cruises, you can choose from a variety of dining options, such as classic favourites in the main Discoveries Restaurant, or Prime C, serving fresh seafood and tender cuts of beef. There is also the Aqualina with a Mediterranean theme, and for an al fresco meal you can dine at Windows Café. The cellar is loaded with boutique wines, and with lunch and dinner world-renowned red and white wines are complimentary. Azamara’s dining service is exemplary, and their wait staff will be quick to learn that you prefer your steak medium-rare and you enjoy Australian shiraz with your meal.

Azamara Club Cruises caters to a more mature crowd with intensive itineraries and longer voyages. Children are welcome, though there are no youth staff or children’s programs offered onboard.

Azamara Quest

Like her sister ship, the sturdy Azamara Quest is a mid-sized beauty with a deck plan well-suited to the needs of modern voyagers. You’ll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of our bars, restaurants, lounges, Casino and Cabaret. Nor will you feel like a sardine jammed in around the pool, where our attentive staff is always ready to offer a complimentary bottled water, soft drink or fresh towel. Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandahs. There’s nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views. Azamara’s friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!
