Tickets to Ride on Pacific Pearl

Posted April 19th, 2013

If the pace of cruising ever feels a bit too slow for you, Pacific Pearl cruise ship is launching a new activity sure to get the pulse racing at sea.

Passengers can now try their hand at V8 super car racing, or at least the next best thing. P&O have introduced some sophisticated race simulators on board Pacific Pearl, which has just ported in Auckland today.

The simulators allow travellers to get behind the wheel at famous race tracks such as Mt Panorama, sure to appeal to all racing enthusiasts or petrol-heads.

The initiative is part of P&O Cruises drive to offer more family-friendly activities on board ship, and Pacific Pearl is the first ship in the fleet to have the new simulators installed.

The ship joined the P&O fleet at the end of 2010 and carries 2000 passengers with a range of features including several swimming pools, restaurants and lounges.

Later this year the ship sets sail on a number of cruises from Auckland, including 10-night Island Discovery cruises and 9-night Island Hopper cruises.
