Race Cars & Make Movies on Pacific Pearl

Posted June 11th, 2013

Start your engines and lights, camera, action... P&O Cruises has been busy developing new amenities for passengers to enjoy, to help ensure Kiwis continue to enjoy the experience on one of Australasia's leading cruise lines.

Pacific Pearl will be based out of Auckland this winter and feature a couple of the new innovations P&O have introduced. A racing car simulator allows passengers to experience the thrill of racing against each other around some of the world's most famous race tracks, including Bathurst.

In a nod to how increasingly appealing cruises are for families, kids travelling on Pacific Pearl can become budding directors with the Broadshorts activity, where they can create puppets and then film them in their own stop-motion movie.

Families can also ensure that kids have their own space, and Mum and Dad their privacy, with interconnecting rooms - although these need to be booked early, particularly over the busy summer months.

The Pacific Pearl will be returning to Auckland in 2014 and 2015 as well, so Kiwi cruise travellers will still be able to enjoy the P&O experience for some years to come.
