Cruise Fiji Aboard Blue Lagoon Cruises

Posted July 29th, 2013

Seeking respite from the chill winter, Billy Gutierrez from Cruiseabout Pukekohe decides to cruise Fiji and savour a Pacific paradise.

Getting ready to step off the plane I'm already excited and looking forward to Fiji’s weather. I'm also set and ready to jump aboard the Fiji Princess cruise ship operated by Blue Lagoon Cruises. This cruise line is a small ship style of cruising, great for social people looking to meet and socialise with fellow passengers.

Fiji offers plenty of options for all kinds of travellers seeking a close to home getaway. The country is welcoming and warm, populated by beautiful people, although it's good to keep in mind that some areas of the country are a bit under-developed compared to New Zealand.

Blue Lagoon Cruises offered a nice experience overall. The meals were pretty good, with a wide range of mains as well as morning and afternoon tea on the dot. It's a very international menu that also includes some local cuisine for those keen to try it.

I'd recommend Blue Lagoon Cruises as most suited to older couples looking for a relaxing holiday without a requirement for many activities. Passengers can do things at their own pace, and if they fancy trying a spot of snorkelling it can be readily organised by the cruise crew.
