Cruise Expo Delights Visitors

Posted March 20th, 2013

Cruiseabout held their Auckland Cruise Expo last weekend, and brand leader Jessica Allen was delighted with the continued strong interest in cruising.

Visitor numbers were high with a huge variety of consumers at the show, from first-time cruisers to people who have been cruising for years.

"We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s Auckland Cruise Expo," Allen said. "Feedback was extremely positive from everyone who visited."

Short haul cruises of the South Pacific proved very popular with first time cruisers, allowing them to dip their toes and experience cruising while not travelling too far from home.

Hawaii and Alaska were also highly popular destinations on the day. Alaska continues to be very popular with adventure travellers and those who are looking for a unique experience of this beautiful, untouched area.

The Kiwi dollar also continues to lure travellers to Hawaii and beyond as they look to cash in on the exchange rate and combine a cruise with their US holiday.

This weekend the Cruise Expo travels to Tauranga, held at the Sebel Trinity Wharf Hotel between 10am and 3pm.
