Allure of the Seas
One of the most impressive cruise ships to date is Royal Caribbean International's newest ship, Allure of the Seas. Mandy Hooper shares her experience cruising aboard this magnificent ship with us.
During my 4 night cruise I dined at 4 restaurants, which were: Izumi - Asian Cuisine including sushi; Giovannis Table - Italian Restaurant; Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse (9 courses of meat!!! YUM); and Chops Grill - Steakhouse (Also serves the best Chocolate Mud Pie/Cake Ever in the World, not kidding).
Then there's Rita Cantina which is Mexican. It has a small cover charge of approximately $3 USD and the enormous meals range from $5 to $7 USD, plus they have happy hour where they serve excellent Margaritas.
There are 3 pools including the Solarium, an adult-only retreat and 3 Whirlpools. There is also a huge outdoor cinema screen by the pool where they play sports games and movies while you enjoy a cold beverage served directly to you without leaving your seat by on the friendly waiters from the poolside bar.
Once you've had enough time in the sun chilling by the pool, you can head inside to 16 more bars, club and lounges that never have a cover charge. The Colony Club, with self-levelling pool tables and also the new Quill & Compass English Pub are places where you'll always have fun. If you're up for a late night you can hit the dance floor at the Night Club on the highest deck with great views.
If you want to check out some of the great onboard entertainment there are 2 show times, early or late depending on what time you eat. The shows range from Hypnotists and Illusionists to Broadway style acts.
I could go on more but why don't you try it out for yourself and book a cruise on this fantastic ship! I'd recommend cruising aboard Allure of the Seas to everyone, from couples and families, to the young and old, there's something onboard for everyone!
