Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises

On Princess Cruises, adventure meets elegance, class and style. With luxurious onboard amenities and a variety of exotic and exciting destinations, a Princess cruise is great for a holiday with friends, a family cruise or a romantic retreat. Princess Cruises’ promises to make sure you have a relaxed and revitalising retreat at sea. They can enjoy wine by the glass and live entertainment in the Piazza, and Italian-inspired atrium, or unwind in the adults-only Sanctuary, where you are pampered with massages, soothing music and spa refreshments. You can catch a movie on the deck with Princess Cruises’ signature Movies Under the Stars, or order room service and watch the sunset from their private balcony.

For close to home cruises, there are over 45 different options for Princess Cruises through Australia and New Zealand, with highlights including Fjordland National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. Princess Cruises also travels through Europe with several major itineraries to cater for all tastes, from Mediterranean and Greek Isles to journeys through the Holy Land, Scandinavia, Russia or the British Isles. You can also cruise through Alaska’s Glacier Bay, or see the China’s Great Wall on a journey through Africa, India and Asia, or you can cruise to Mexico, the Panama Canal or South America. Princess Cruises pride themselves as the “Destination Experts”, and with so many options available, you can see why.

Kids

Princess Cruises caters for children aged three to 17, with many exciting onboard activities. The onboard Youth Centres and Teen Lounges are staffed by experienced counsellors, who aim to keep the younger cruises happy all day long. Kids can indulge in art projects, the latest movie releases, pizza parties, talent shows, kids-only dinners, sports tournaments and much more. “Princess Pelicans” and “Shockwaves” are the centres that cater for children aged three to seven, and eight to 12 respectively. Teenagers aged 13 – 17 can escape their parents in the Teens-only exclusive lounges.

Dining

Variety is the spice of life, and on a Princess cruise there is plenty of spice to enhance your dining experiences. In the main dining room, choose between Traditional Dining (with a fixed time and seating), or Anytime Dining (dine when and with whom you want). There are also several speciality restaurants on every ship, such as Sabatini’s Italian cuisine, or The Crown Grill serving premium beef. For something a little more casual, visit the International Café, for fresh-baked pastries and gelato. And, for something extra special, have a multi-course dinner served to you on your balcony with the Ultimate Balcony Dining option.

I highly recommend this cruise. We were fortunate as this was the maidon Season for the Regal Princess so everything was new and the ship had the latest of everything.

We loved our delux balcony room. Plenty of room and a bonus to have a sofa. The bed was a good queen/king and very comfortable. Our agent put us in the mid ship which was perfect.

The food was of the highest standard. Entertainment was broadway equivalent. There were a lot of added extras from a previous cruise with a Norwegian ship (which we had the priveledge of doing 3 weeks earlier around the Hawaiian Islands).
To be honest it was night and day as far as cruise ships go.

A pleasure all round. My husband and I have spoken about our trip (including the cruise) - a trip of a life-time. We wouldn't do anything different if we had a chance. Perfect holiday.

We very scared due to it being our time cruising and also taking a big holiday,we were overwhelmed with the experience the hospitality and the beauty.
Will do it again(soon).
The only thing we would say to anyone doing a cruise is to eat the food because its good but do some walking inbetween.

Ship brand new so very clean. Adults only pool beaut. Food, plenty of it. We ate all but one meal in buffet restaurant where food was good but nothing stunning. Dining restaurant and food was very nice, should have used it more. Disgusted at internet prices and lack of free wi fi. Activities not to my liking seemed to be more aimed at children, teenagers, and adult American games/quizzes. Would have liked more informative lectures etc. Movies on big screen American crap. Lots of children and families so quite hussly bustly. Staff absolutely perfect they couldn't do enough for us. Shore excursions good but as expected costly. Cabin, one of the cheapest, great, would have liked to have 2 chairs though. Alcohol policy for own room not appreciated.

Overall great value, excellent service, just right length, but lacking leisure activities and too 'Americanised' for us.

We were over-awed by the luxury and features of the Island Princess. The eating options were numerous with fabulous food and room service was always on offer. There was lots of on-board entertainment to keep us occupied on days at sea.

We were very happy with our interior room. The ship had a webcam which we were able to follow through a TV channel so we could see the weather conditions and a brief glimpse of the area surrounding the ship.

The itinerary was very scenic (especially the glaciers) and relaxing. We also spent a full day in Anchorage which we feel is worth doing after going all that way. Its an excellent itinerary for anyone prone to sea-sickness. I went armed with preventative medicine but didn't even think about using it once.

The most astonishing thing for us was, that for a ship that can take 2,000 passengers, the facilities were not over-crowded. We thoroughly recommend the cruise line and the itinerary.

This was our very first cruise and it was amazing. Everything appeared seamless. The staff were all fantastic, food amazing. The person who looked after our cabin did a wonderful job.
The ship was beautifully presented and nothing was too much trouble. I had too spend a bit of time in the medical centre and once again great service. Have booked our next cruise and cant wait.

We had a fabulous Christmas/New Year cruise onboard the Diamond and would highly recommend this cruise to anyone as it was so relaxing and fun.

Our Staeroom A219 onboard the Diamond Princess was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The service onboard was always very helpful and the staff were very thoughtful and pleasant throughout our cruise.
There was so much to do on the sea days from cooking demonstrations, horse racing, wine tastings etc. you could do as much or as little as you liked.

It was certainly greet to get away from all the stress at this time of year, you end up making so many new friends and it is always great to compare notes on previous other cruises that have been done.
We are just in the process of booking another as we love cruising so much as it is a great way to travel

We had 19 nights on the diamond princess from Sydney to singapore and it was amazing. The meals entertainment and service was first class. We wondered how we would cope with 7 days at sea with no ports between freemantle and Bangkok but it was truly a relaxing holiday we just chilled. We had an inside cabin more roomy than other princess ships we had been on. We even had the excitement of a helicopter lift off the ship for a cancer ill customer handled with absolute professionalism. The ship went into dry dock in singapore when we disembarked in singapore for a 30 million makeover can't wait to cruise again with the diamond and marvel at the changes.

Went on a few cruises throughout Europe but the Princess Cruise was far superior in our view to the Holland America or Costa cruises. We covered the greek islands and then some, outstanding service, meal options, entertainment options. The all you can eat/drink options were great and meant a carefree trip once we were on board. The location and timing/weather couldn't have been better either. All in all an outstanding cruise liner and trip - will do another cruise for sure but probably on Princess again and not the other 2 brands we've experienced to date. Alaska is next on the list!

Accomadation excellent, service excellent, food excellent, entertainment excellent, shore excursions excellent so why am I not knocking on your door for another.Because the cruise is much of the same thing, can seem repetetive and somewhat confining.Although everything is excellent they become routine the longer the cruise lasts. We could not envisage any cruise longer than 12 days for this reason.Passengers carrying on our cruise to Singapore did not fill us with envy because the prospects did not fill us with any expections, particularly the days at seas

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and met some very interesting people from Australia.United States and Great Britain but have come to the conclusion that cruising holidays are not for us.

I've done many cruises - several cruise lines and ships, many parts of the world, from 10 days to 90 days duration. The one indicated above to complete your form was the most recent.

I've written a book about one of memorable cruises I've had, and I'd be delighted if you'd read it. It tells of a trip from Auckland to Southampton: Seventeen Seas, by Bronwyn Elsmore. See www.flaxroots.com/books

Last year, on a Dawn Princess cruise, I ran the book club discussions and they sold my books (Seventeen Seas and another) in the onboard boutique.
