This huge ship is divine. Our stateroom was extremely well appointed, quite roomy with lots of storage space for clothes, suitcases etc. We travelled Concierge class, which gave us a few extra add-ons, but ordinary staterooms are at the same standard.
To be honest, we could not fault the ship! The crew were wonderfully friendly, the organisation of the tours, meals, excursions, everything was top class. the ship itself was palatial.
I think, the people that run the Celebrity Reflection, could run a small country, they are that well organised!
Anyway I have to say it was just absolutely FANTASTIC! Which is why I am booked on a cruise this year with the same boat!
Now, when I say boat, I mean a floating city with 5,000 people! It was wonderful and exciting gliding up in the see through lifts, every floor offering something new and wonderful! What I liked about the cruise besides visiting new ports every day that I had never been to, was the fact that the ship offered 100's of different ideas of things to do while on board, like party central or quiet reading, whatever you felt like doing! As a single I could feel comfortable meeting other friendly people and did not feel (odd) being by myself. Or, if I wanted some time alone to read or contemplate the stunning views, this was always available. The food and dining experiences were also amazing.! I'm looking forward to my next cruise to continue the experience...
It met all our expectations.
Our stateroom steward service was again excellent. The food and wine waiters in the dining room were attentive and helpful.
We had a sunset verandah stateroom, which was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of other areas of the ship.
We enjoyed the time ashore at all the ports we visited and had a marvellous warm sunny day cruising Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds. This was one of the highlights of the cruise.
It there was anything that was disappointing it was the entertainment. Nearly all the acts were Australian and they did not have the professionalism, sophistication or finesse of the entertainers of our previous cruises. It was a pity there were no New Zealand acts.
Cruising around New Zealand is a great way to see many parts of the country from a different perspective. In our view the cruise is to be highly recommended.
The ship was everything we expected and more, not for a minute would you think there were over 3000 people onboard.
The room was spotless and well laid out ,the balconey was a good size complete with table and chairs.
Selection of food was excellent with plenty to choose from and a wide selection of tea and coffee.
Ports of call were great, service on board was friendly and attentive, the entertainment was second to none.
We highly recommend cruising as a fabulous relaxing holiday, our suggestion is to pay the little extra to up grade to a balacony cabin, it is surely worth it!
Looking forward to our next cruise .
The cruise itself was wonderful and cannot say enough regarding how clean everywhere on the Ship was and the friendliness of all the crew. We booked a concierge class cabin and were more than happy with that. Food was excellent however the shows were a little dissapointing compared to other cruise lines we have travelled on.
The Indian Pacific from Perth to Sydney is another story. Unless you are a train buff be warned. The cabins are OK however once you have had breakfast the cabin is made up to a day room and after dinner (at 8pm) the cabin is made ready for bed (2 bunks where your seats were). After dinner there is nothing to do unless you want to sit in a very crowded bar. The train rattles and rolls and extremely noisy which makes it virtually impossible to sleep. The food was very good. Considering the fare for this train it is quite frankly a rip off!!!
Even had a drink on the top deck, by the grass. All staff efficient and a pleasure to deal with.
Cleanliness outstanding, we have no complaints whatever. A query though, Christmas Day never happened, not the traditional food etc that I was expecting, great decorations and carols. Fabulous New years eve.
Congratulations to all.
