Cruiseabout is a division of Flight Centre (NZ) Limited. References to “us”, “we”, “our” and/or Cruiseabout” in these booking terms and conditions shall mean Flight Centre (NZ) Limited trading as Cruiseabout. Where bookings of travel products and services are made on your behalf via Infinity Holidays or Escape Holidays, references to “us”, “we”, “our” and/or “Cruiseabout” in these booking terms and conditions shall also mean and include Flight Centre (NZ) Limited trading as Infinity Holidays or Escape Holidays.

Advertised prices are based upon the most basic or lowest category of inside accommodation. Any accommodation required pre/post cruise (including accommodation required due to flight schedule) is not included
The cruise line may amend or cancel any published itinerary without prior notice. Cruise inventory is allocated at the cruise lines’ discretion.
Passports & Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. All travellers must have a valid passport for international travel and many countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of entry. If you need information regarding visa and other travel document requirements for your trip please ask your travel consultant. Your consultant can obtain such information from an external visa advisory service provider on your behalf. We do not warrant the accuracy of such information and accept no liability for any loss or damage, which you may suffer in reliance on it.
Port Tax and Baggage Fees
Port taxes and baggage fees vary between cruise lines and are not included unless stated otherwise. Please check with your travel consultant for specific details relating to your cruise.

Carriers publish baggage allowances applicable for carriage over their own services. Allowances include cabin baggage and checked baggage. These allowances tend to be based on a weight allowance or a piece system. We recommend you check your baggage allowance carefully as you may incur a charge for the carriage of baggage in excess of their free baggage allowance. Carriers also publish baggage safety notices that detail items that cannot be carried or only carried in checked baggage. Again, we recommend you ask your chosen carrier about the applicable baggage safety requirements.
Cruiseabout acts as a travel agent only. We put together cruise packages and sell various travel related products on behalf of numerous transport, accommodation and other wholesale service providers. Cruiseabout’s obligation is to make travel bookings on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. It is therefore important for you to obtain and read the service provider’s terms and conditions applicable to the products in your package, and make sure you are aware of any exclusions or limitations of liability imposed by the service provider, some of which may limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage. Cruiseabout has no responsibility for the products or services provided by these service providers nor does it make or give any warranty or representation regarding the standard of those products or services. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by those service providers. Your legal recourse is against the specific provider and not Cruiseabout. If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted your remedy lies against the provider and not with Cruiseabout.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control and for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer or supply of products or services through Cruiseabout or any third parties. Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. We do not accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.
Travel documents include (without limitation) cruise tickets, airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a travel service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date-changeable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. All travel documents are non-transferable. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder, some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies and the booking may be cancelled. It is your responsibility to collect all travel documents prior to travel.
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for all overseas travel. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation.
Certain taxes are mandatory in various countries. All taxes are subject to change without notice. All prices and charges advertised include New Zealand GST where applicable.
Deposits and final payments
At the time of reservation, a deposit is required. Please check with your travel consultant for specific details relating to your booking. All deposits are non-refundable. Full payment for your reservation is required the earliest of the sale end date, payment deadline specified in individual package conditions, or 30 days prior to departure. If for any reason we do not receive the deposit or your balance by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and to apply the appropriate cancellation charges. A deposit holds services requested but does not guarantee prices. Bookings made within 5 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received by Cruiseabout at the time of reservation.
The price of your cruise may change at any time until full payment is received and airline tickets issued. Tickets will be ordered within one business day of receiving full payment. If we have to change any part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, for example, if an airline changes its schedules, if an hotelier overbooks hotel accommodation or if there are any changes in applicable taxes or charges, we will notify you. If any such changes result in your cruise costing more or otherwise being materially different from that originally booked, then you may cancel the cruise and we will refund any monies already paid less any charges levied by suppliers.
Cancellation Fees and Amendments
Cancelled bookings will incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking. Fees will also apply where a booking is amended or tickets are re-issued. An amendment is a change to an existing booking with the same inclusions. A transfer to another package may be treated as a cancellation and supplier cancellation fees may apply. Please check details with your travel consultant prior to booking
Not included in price of Cruise
All passengers are responsible for the cost of their own travel arrangements to and from their cruise departure point. The cost of anything not specifically noted as being included in the cruise package is at the passenger’s expense.
Maps and photographs
Maps are shown for general information and may not necessarily reflect actual routings, locations or services provided. Photographs show places in the geographic areas, but are not necessarily included in the cruise. Cruise room photographs are representative only and the actual rooms occupied may vary in decor and inclusions from those shown. Many images are supplied courtesy of tourist bureaus, hotels and tour operators.
Method of Payment: credit card transactions, electronic transfer and payment by cheque
Prices are valid for payment by cash, cheque, and EFTPOS or NZ electronic transfer only. Cheques are accepted but take up to two weeks to clear. If you pay by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to Cruiseabout. Please note that electronic payments may take up to 3 business days to process. If you are paying by this method you will need to pay at least 3 business days prior to the actual due date. You must notify your consultant of your payment once it has been made. Where you pay by cheque, you agree not to stop payment of the cheque even when you cancel a booking. You agree that we may apply the proceeds of the cheque to satisfy any liability you have to us, including any liability in respect of cancellation fees, before refunding the balance to you. Travel Documents will not be issued until full payment with cleared funds is received.
Credit card surcharges of 2% for Visa and MasterCard, 3% for American Express and Diner’s Club and 2% for Q Card will apply when paying by credit card. You authorise us to charge all fees incurred by you in relation to the services provided to the credit card designated by you. If payment is not received from the card issuer or its agents for any reason, you agree to pay us all amounts due immediately on demand.
