Style & Chic on Norwegian Cruise Lines

Posted February 14th, 2013

Despite sailing the seas for over 40 years, Norwegian Cruise Lines is the world's youngest cruise fleet. Modern and innovative, this is no stuffy traditional cruise experience.

Today Norwegian Cruise Lines offer memorable holidays on water aboard their 11 ships worldwide. Time on the water flies by with activities galore both on board and on shore, a wide range of stylish staterooms to unwind in, and evenings dedicated to various fun social and recreational activities.

As if the laidback cruising atmosphere isn't relaxing enough, add in some massage treatments, saunas, spas, hair and beauty treatments and travellers won't even remember the meaning of "stress". There are movie cinemas, libraries, karaoke rooms, swimming pools, spas, saunas and gymnasiums certain to keep everyone in the family happy, plus jogging and walking tracks, basketball or golf driving nets for passengers who need something a bit more energetic.

The newest ships also feature tenpin bowling, climbing walls and Wii consoles. After the sun sets the spotlight turns on live entertainment, including the comedic theatrical group Blue Man Group aboard Norwegian Epic.

From singles and couples, to families and groups, Norwegian Cruise Lines offer accommodation to cater to everyone on their cruise holiday. Connecting rooms and suites are ideal for families, with kids further looked after with dedicated children’s centres including video arcades and the latest computer games.

Many rooms feature private balconies, allowing passengers to soak up the fabulous scenery as it drifts by. There are even three bedroom villas with private gardens, hot tub and a grand piano, for that extra touch of luxury!

One of Norwegian Cruise Line’s innovations in dining is Freestyle Cruising - a concept designed to be informal and flexible, with no set dining times, relaxed dress codes and no restrictive routine to adhere to. Their cruise ships offer as many as 20 dining options offered on board, from casual eateries to five star dining. As they say themselves - with Norwegian Cruise Line’s Freestyle Cruising it’s all about you.

The future is bright for Norwegian Cruise Lines following the success of the Norwegian Epic and their Freestyle Cruising concept. New ships will set sail offering the best of the fleet's current ships together with all new levels of comfort and service. The Norwegian Breakaway will debut in May this year, followed by Norwegian Getaway in 2014.
