Feel The Magic On Disney Cruises

Posted March 22nd, 2013

For a truly magical family cruise experience, Disney Cruises offer a unique blend of entertainment on the high sea for pirates, princesses and parents alike.

Disney are relatively new on the cruise scene, having only begun operating in 1995, but are already stamping their mark with a cruise experience every bit as magical as the name suggests. The whole family will be kept enthralled with onboard Disney musicals, 3D digital movies, deck parties, dance parties, game shows, spectacular pools and splash zones, plus even appearances from favourite Disney Characters.

Each Disney cruise ship has three distinct areas, each with its own swimming pool and deck facilities: one for families with young children, one for families with older children and teens, and one for adults only. In addition, there are day spas, hair salons, fitness centres, themed bars, nightclubs and lounges where everyone can share a drink, discussion and dance.

There is so much designed for kids that they'll scarcely want to leave. Their imaginations will be fired in the onboard kids clubs, with activities for each age group and individual interest. Older kids can enjoy separate, private getaways complete with big screens and music, the ideal place to make lots of new friends.

While the kids are enjoying their adventures, Mum and Dad aren't neglected in family cruises. They can choose to escape in the adults-only pool area, sip a cappuccino at the private coffee bar, enjoy a workout in the fitness centre or be pampered at the day spa.

A favourite destination is Disney's private paradise, Castaway Cay. Kids will adore Pelican Plunge, a floating water park featuring a twisting water slide, whereas for the adults there is the exclusive beach of Serenity Bay.

Entertainment onboard is designed to bring the whole family together. Original musicals are performed nightly in the Walt Disney Theatre, with shows like Disney Dreams and The Golden Mickeys. You'll also have the chance to meet favourite Disney characters beyond the shows at autograph sessions and surprise encounters throughout the cruise.

Dining on Disney Cruises is unlike anything experienced elsewhere. Each Disney ship has three restaurants with unique menus and different themes, plus adult exclusive restaurants for more romantic evenings.

From this year Disney Cruises will offer a range of new itineraries, including European cruises taking in Venice, Italy and the Greek Isles.

Nowhere else will you be able to experience fireworks at sea - that's the true Disney experience at sea.
